In the first quarter of 2021, Brazil's Android users showed their appetite for dining and restaurant applications, as reflected in the latest data from Sensor Tower. Here's a look at how the top five apps in this category performed during this period.
McDonald's Offers and Delivery saw a fluctuation in downloads starting from 127K in late December and peaking at 204K in mid-January, before gradually descending to 103K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, with a peak of 1.2M in mid-January and a dip to 988K by the end of the quarter.
Habib's download numbers exhibited an interesting trend with an initial dip from 53K to around 41K in January, a surge to 96K in late February, and then a decline to 29K by the end of March. Its weekly active users hit a high of 282K in early March, marking a significant increase from the 160K at the start of the observed period.
Burger King Brasil maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, starting from 526K and ending the quarter with 421K. Downloads saw a decrease from 63K to 32K over the same period.
Domino's Pizza Brasil experienced a steady decline in downloads from 15K in late December to just under 10K by the end of March. Active users showed more volatility, with a slight peak of 30K in mid-February but ending the quarter lower at 26K.
Taco Bell Brasil: Restaurante had the least amount of downloads among the top apps, with a peak of 7.5K in mid-January and ending with 1.6K in late March. The app's active users were not provided in the data set.
